The Government’s only source of good revenues was from OMCs in the form of higher dividends, higher income taxes, higher royalties, higher excise duties etc etc. However somehow the Government is letting off this advantage, when it requires the most in bad times. If they continue the way do, the shortfall in Government revenues is going to be very very high. High fiscal and current account deficit couple with weak macro figures on all fronts could result in downgrade of sovereign rating.
